New beginnings

After much consideration about my life and my family’s financial well-being, I have decided to leave the Library/Archives field.

As of today I am a construction worker.

Seriously.

I am now a member of the Insulators union local 95.

This blog will now be changing from the occasional rants of a librarian to my new tale: one geek with Arts degrees coming to grips with being a construction worker. Taking my cue from Melissa Plaut and Belle de Jour, I will endeavour to give you a look at what my life is becoming. I won’t claim to meet interesting people or have an interesting life but I will try and give you a glimpse into the world of the professional labourer.
