Oshawa Home and Garden Show: Review

In a fit of planned randomness I dragged my wife down the road to the Oshawa Home and Garden Show, aka the Oshawa This Week Home and Garden Show, aka the Metroland Media Presents Home and Garden Show. Since I cannot think of a witty sentence that points out how absurd it is that the show doesn’t even have a… (more…)

pickles and peaches

We pickled pickles today. It was my first attempt at doing cold pack preserving all on my own so of course Seraph was there to help. Garlicy oopsness

Seed order is in!

I’m excited. I ordered seeds from Veseys this morning for my vegetable garden. Stringless Blue Lake Pole Beans Thomas Laxston Peas (heirloom) Veseys Baby Leaf Blend (lettuceseses) Kong (a 12′ sunflower) I already have garlic-of-perpetually-taking-over poking its bits out of the ground and at some point I’m going to grab some Egyptian onions (also of the perpetually taking over clan)… (more…)
